What If

Such a powerful phrase.

What If… Everyone asks themselves this question. What if I hadn’t done this or that. What if I had said something. What if I tried this. What if I cared a little more.

It’s really a summary for so many lives. So many of us choose to live the safe route and just ask ‘what if’. And this group of us also live in jealousy or wonder of those who choose to answer the what if questions they come up with.

Do you ask yourself this question? I think if we are asking it to often, like on a daily or weekly basis, perhaps we should just one time answer the ‘what if’ with action. Of course I dont mean finding out what happens if you rob a bank or cheat on someone, but I mean in a way that can positively impact life. Answering what it would be like to join a small group, to bury the anger towards someone, to finally go home, go to church, forgive, seek help for addictions, etc…

What if you did something and changed your life for the better? What if tomorrow and the next day you could look back and claim this moment as the moment you answered ‘what if’ with action and you couldn’t be happier that you did!

Tour of California

I dont get these people. I watched the final stage of the tour of california on sunday, mainly because football season is over, basketball is sooo boring and bowling is worse than the others. Anyhue, why do these people dress up in stupid stuff and then run along side the guys in bikes? WHY? Some of them are funny and creative, this guy above is just stupid.

I get it, he is saying Lance uses steroids.

Big deal, if he does so does everyone else it has seemed lately so why shouldn’t he.

But back to the stupid people in speedos. That is what 90% of them were, guys in speedos that were a size or so to small sprinting until they were tired. Why? Is there really nothing better to do?

The guy with the Elk horns though, he was impressive, that was a huge rack and he didn’t fall or anything, props to him for showing Elk that we humans can also run with a huge rack attached to our heads.

Why don’t I get swag for watching the Oscars?

I watched about 5 minutes of the celebrate-ourselves awards last night. In some ways it was disturbing to think that most of the people there were wearing something that was “worth” more than I make in a year. I saw and read the reviews about how the event was toned down this year to reflect the economy disaster we are in. How nice of the extremely rich and wealthy to do that for us.

I find it funny that the actors and actresses, the celebrities, the tinsel town prince and princesses are the people that we are so infatuated with. I know that many of them are truly great actors and I rather enjoy movies. I’m saying that if you think about High School social life, most of these people were in the drama and arts classes and were on the bottom end of the totem-pole. Then they go to college or Hollywood, make movies and become beautiful and take the elevator to the top of the social pipeline. It’s funny irony to me. The ones in high school that do the plays and the arts, who care about social things and try to get other students to understand various things like going green, etc… and yet they never get listened to. Now they are “celebs” and everyone can’t listen long enough.

Anyhue, just my thoughts of the awards. congratulations to the winners and I guess I should go see slumdog millionaire or download it.
