michigan sunsets

michigan sunsets

Ahh, a cool evening breeze, a stroll on the boardwalk, perhaps some tasty ice cream in hand and the world’s greatest painting sprawled out across the horizon.

Almost every night, unless it is cloudy, Michiganders are treated to an amazing end of the day. Sunsets on the horizon of Lake Michigan are spectacular. Of all the places I’ve been and sunsets I’ve seen, Michigan truly ranks among the top.

If you have the chance to take in an amazing sunset, make sure you make it to one of the many beach shores along the coast of Lake Michigan, bring the camera, that special someone or the whole family. Enjoy some ice cream or a Biggby drink and press record on your mental DVR.

You are welcome!

New Holland Brewery

New Holland Brewery

Pizza and Beer. They go together like, Peanut Butter and Jelly or some other fantastic combination. New Holland Brewery has nailed the brewing part and equaled the quality beer with quality food.

I was there recently on a Friday night, really a great night out with friends. New Holland Brewery sits in downtown Holland, Mich. There are a variety of shops downtown Holland that you can peruse and meander through, all the while working up your hunger for the amazing meal you will be having at New Holland some short time later. They have bands and music playing adding to the great vibe that already exists. There are a variety of food options, I stick with the pizza and enjoy it time and time again.

So if you find yourself heading to Holland to meet some friends, find your way downtown and into a booth at New Holland Brewery, you won’t regret it!

yesterdog = awesome

yesterdog = awesome

If you want hot dogs, then this is the place for you.

Simply amazing, actually it may be an insult to call them hot dogs, because these are yesterdogs. And if you don’t like hot dogs, that’s fine. Again, these are yesterdogs, not hot dogs. So the normal exit strategy does not apply in this case, so look at the menu and mentally prepare your order that you will most certainly enjoy. Then after you do enjoy the awesomeness don’t be so prideful to forget to admit that it was delicious and that you were wrong and you would love to come back to yesterdog!

What makes this place so great? I don’t know, I can’t explain it. Is it the old time cash machine? Is it the decor? Is it the feeling of stepping into another era? Is it the fact they add up the prices in their heads? Is it the uniqueness? Is it the undeniable taste?

Yes, yes, thousand times yes.

Next time you are in the vicinty of the tucked away part of Grand Rapids that is known as Eastown, park your car, get out and walk into yesterdog and join me in saying yes a thousand times yes!

You can find Yesterdog online here
