Michigan Weather, there is nothing like it.

Only in Michigan can you go from sun to rain to cold to sun to snow, in a week.

It is currently July 17th. The temp outside is: 59 degrees. In a matter of a few days the temp will be in the mid 80’s. Most likely in a week it will be close to 100.

You can’t live here and desire a certain type of temperature. Michigan gets everything, extreme hots, extreme colds, we are a bi-polar state and we love it.

An added benefit is the easy ice breaker you are awarded by living here. No matter what time of year you can use the phrase:

How about this weather?!

And that phrase will apply anytime of year. So feel free to use it and use it well!

Man vs Food bests the Fifth Third Burger

Man vs Food made it to the Great Mitten state to attempt to conquer the what has to be the ultimate heart attack on a bun, the one and only, Fifth Third Burger.

If you’ve never seen the Travel Channel’s show, it is one man vs a gigantic meal.  The show’s host, Adam Richman, travels across the US eating at a variety of places that have a crazy meal. Whether its insanely hot Mexican food, a stable of milkshakes or even a 3 foot pizza, Adam goes all out or maybe all in is better. Usually he is able to conquer the food, sometimes he is challenged by another patron, either way it’s entertaining. It’s like Diner’s, Drive-In’s and Dive’s except that they eat large amounts of food.

Nonetheless, Michigan made the tube, its a destination to be had for mega burger eaters. So if you have the desire to consume around 5000 calories, make your way to Fifth Third Ballpark, Home of the Whitecaps in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Go Straight at the Gay Bar

If you ever just want to go where you can have a gay ole time, well there is only one place. That’s right, Gay, Michigan is your town. Some may lead you to believe Key West or San Francisco, but they would be wrong.

I have an uncle who has a cabin on the shores of Superior and it is only a few minutes from Gay. So naturally we went to the Gay Bar, and had a delicious, fantastic burger. You could say I ate meat at the Gay Bar and enjoyed it and you would be right on.

The town consists of like 30 people, so I can’t imagine it’s gonna be around much longer, but the bar, the one and only Gay Bar will forever live!
