New Years Fads
So we are well over a month into the year 2009. And I was out to eat today and was asked about what I have been up to lately. I responded with talking about working out and the goal of eating better and ended my statement with throwing out a sarcastic “you know, losing weight, new years resolution and all.” And I got a way to go response for keeping up my resolution so long into the year. And it got me thinking, the year is like weeks old, not months, weeks.
How many of us have kept our so called resolutions?
Can we stop calling them resolutions since they are more fads and 2 week sayings?
I propose 2010, we ask “What is your new year fad?”
It sounds trendier which is always “cooler” to the kids these days. It’s also different, which again sounds cool to the kids these days. I’m sure MTV is in talks about doing a segment on new years fads right now. It’s time to change, Obama wants us all to change and I propose this change as well, let’s sneek this phrase change into the obscenely huge stimulus package along with all the other crap!
So allow me to be the first to ask, “What is your new years fad?”
