sunny days…

its really hard to beat a nice coldish, sunny, blue sky day.

bright sun, white blanket on everything and icicles sparkling like diamonds.

days like today remind me of being out west somewhere like tahoe or park city.  pack on the snowboard gear, strap on the board and ride all day.

my favorite place in tahoe has to be homewood mountain. its really hard to beat the views of that beautiful blue lake at the bottom of the hill. it almost seemed like you were going to ride into the lake!

i really wish michigan had a mountain. a real mountain, not the jokes that we call mountains.

so sunny day, sorry i am wasting you. but in my mind i am riding and creating new tracks in the blanket of white snow.

The Right Stuff

Why is everything that is good for you so not tasty at all?

For example, pizza or salad?

Pizza all day long, and as many pieces that I can stuff down before my stomach screams “STOP!”

Why is the healthy lifestyle so hard to follow and stick to?

Why does coca-cola have to be so delicious and water so, well, blah.

And we all have friends or know someone who is ultra healthy and loves a plate full of carrots. And that friend just makes you hate yourself for not being able to eat a salad once a day.

But then that friend gets struck by lightening and you say to yourself, “Self, eat away because the next bolt of lightening could be destined for you!”
